Kimchi Fried Rice 

Here's a  quick little tutorial recipe in making Kimchi Fried Rice! Not only is this meal exceptionally delicious, it's also quite fun and easy to make! There are many ways you can get creative with this dish so the limit is your imagination!

Kimchi Fried Rice

Ingredients 

  • 3 bowls steamed rice (3 cups)
  • 1 cup chopped kimchi
  • ΒΌ cup kimchi juice
  • 1-2 tablespoons gochujang (red chilli sauce)
  • 3 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 sheet of kim / nori sprinkles (dried seaweed)

Instructions

  1. Heat the pan to a medium-high and spread the vegetable / cooking oil.
  2. Add the garlic and stir for 10 seconds.
  3. Then, add the spam and stir until it looks half cooked (around 2-3 minutes).
  4. Add the kimchi, kimchi juice, gochujang and stir fry for around 2 minutes. 
  5. Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the rice. Mix until the rice achieve's the kimchi's full colour and everything is mixed.
  6. Remove the pan from heat and add sesame oil. Mix once more. 
  7. Once on a plate, top it off with chopped green onions, sesame seeds, eggs, seaweed, or anything you'd want, however you'd want!
  8. Serve while hot!
  9. Enjoy!
