Indian Desserts plays an integral part in the Indian cuisine and while they are enjoyed during a hearty meal, sweets and desserts are also vital during Indian festivals. Some of these include Kaju Katli, Barfi, Jalebi & Ladoos. If you have a sweet tooth, India is the place to satisfy all your cravings. 


1. Kaju Katli - is the most renowned and old Indian fudge dessert that also means 'snow' in Persian. The main ingredient in this sweet is condensed milk. Kaju Katli also has several types, such as with cashews or pistachios, which are the most common. However, don't be warned by the silver foil that covers the Kaju Katli, it's edible 😋




2. Rasgulla - Indian desserts have status across the whole world. Rasgulla's are white spongy balls made from cottage cheese, semolina and sugar syrup. This famous dessert comes from West Bengal and Odisha and the common belief behind this sweet was to celebrate the Dibasa festival in July.






3. Jalebi - Mmmmmmm... Ever heard that from someone while they're eating? Well, you'll hear it non-stop when you have Jalebis. It's essentially deep-fried coils of dough made from refined flour, which allows a crisp on the exterior, with a soft chewy texture inside that is filled with saffron sugar syrup.


4. Ladoo - there are many different recipes for this omnipresent festive sweet, that you can find at any Indian wedding, occasions or festivals. Every region has its own speciality of making this sweet, but it is popularly made from chickpea flour, ground coconut, milk, sugar, ghee and dried fruits. This dessert is famous across all of India.
